Holy cow, Batman!  Get your checkbooks out, the Tacoma Goodwill is auctioning off a giant stack of African art which belongs in your collection!

Thanks to an anonymous donor, Tacoma Goodwill is now auctioning off a rare African artifact collection valued at upwards of $11,000.

The mid-19th to mid-20th century pieces — authentic artifacts, not tourist reproductions — are from various locations throughout the continent, including Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mozambique, Tanzania and the Congo. The 55 separate items were dropped off at the Port Townsend Goodwill store earlier this month.

Artifacts range from antique pottery and storage vessels to drums to tribal masks, all valued at various prices. A carved wooden pot from the Bamileke people of Cameroon, for example, is currently listed at $400, while a wood and raffia mask, likely from the Congo, is up for bid for $49.99.
